The division is structured into three units:
Complaints and Compound Unit
Receive and resolve complaints.
i. Receive and resolve complaints.
ii. Refer relevant complaints for inspection under Section 64 or investigation under Section 45 of the Cooperative Societies Act 1993.
iii. Record and update complaint statuses.
iv. Handle customer feedback.
v. Issue compounds.
vi. Review appointments of Board Members under subsection 43(2) of the Cooperative Societies Act 1993.
Inspection Unit
i. Conduct inspections under Section 64 and recommend legal action.
ii. Conduct document review and seizure operations for inspection purposes.
iii. Prepare inspection result notifications and written orders under Section 67 of the Cooperative Societies Act 1993, directing cooperatives to take corrective action on identified deficiencies.
iv. Issue legal enforcement orders (control measures) under Section 69 of the Cooperative Societies Act 1993.
v. Conduct investigations/inquiries under Section 66 and recommend legal or preventive actions.
vi. Commend investigations for serious offences or non-compliance with Commission directives.
vii. Monitor compliance with orders under the Cooperative Societies Act 1993.
Investigation Unit
i. Conduct investigations and recommend legal action.
ii. Carry out search and seizure operations.
iii. Arrest or serve summonses to suspects (Accused Persons).
iv. Manage case exhibits, witnesses, and court testimony.
v. Issue certification for release/disposal of case exhibits.
vi. Prepare or validate investigation outcomes in accordance with prescribed instructions.
