PUSPANITA or acronym Persatuan Suri dan Anggota Wanita Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia was launched officially on 1 March 1983 by the PUSPANITA Patron first, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah binti Haji Mohd Ali.
At the initial stage of its establishment, through the various processes for PUSPANITA complete the download as a registered association and accepted by all parties, especially at the senior management and members. Protem Committee members have been working hard at the time formed the Constitution that contains details of the organisation such as vision, mission, formation, membership and responsibilities of the Majlis Tertinggi (MT) dan Jawatankuasa Kerja Tertinggi (JKT).
To strengthen the position of the Organization, the Constitution stipulates that the wife PUSPANITA Prime Minister will be the Patron, the Chief Secretary will be the Adviser and his wife is the Chief Secretary to the President of the Association.
In addition to the formation of the Constitution, has managed to increase the membership of the PUSPANITA from year to year and now has more than 80000 members. Another success is very proud of is the home of PUSPANITA in Jalan Hose, Kuala Lumpur and PUSPANITAPURI as the center of activity and the glorious landmark. PUSPANITA also has its own uniform as a symbol of the unification of members.
Various programmes and activities were compiled and implemented by PUSPANITA to achieve its vision and mission. Among them is a five-year Plan, PUSPANITA PUSPADARA Fund and Fund Training PUSPANITA. Success is the result of the wisdom of the leadership of PUSPANITA patron and its Advisor. This was followed with the cooperation and support of the Majlis Tertinggi (MT) dan Jawatankuasa Kerja Tertinggi (JKT) as well as nationals of PUSPANITA.
The Main Objective Of The Establishment Of PUSPANITA
- Goodwill and relationships unite wives and members of the public service at all levels of service;
- Promote the development of knowledge, skills, and self-development of association members through self-development programs, lectures, workshops, seminars, and courses;
- Encourage and involve members in activities for the benefit of members, their families, and the community;
- Organize programmes to collect donations and contributions for charitable activities;
- Foster relationships with other registered women’s organisations to promote mutual understanding and enhance knowledge through national development plans, particularly those concerning women in this country;
- Engage in business activities, provided that all money and profits earned by the Association as a result of such participation are used solely to extend, develop, and fulfill the purposes of the Association. No portion of such money or profit shall be used to pay interest, profits, or bonuses to any member of the Association. However, this does not preclude any payment made in good faith for salaries or expenses or both to any member or employee of the Association who has provided service to the Association.
