The Board Affairs Unit (UL) was established in accordance with the powers of the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission (SKM) under the provisions of Subsection 11(D)(5) of the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission Act 2007.

1. To convene meetings of the SKM Board of Directors in accordance with Section 19 of the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission Act 2007;

2. To hold SKM Top Management Meetings;

3. To prepare the SKM Annual Report;

4. To coordinate official requirements of the Chairperson and Members of the SKM Board of Directors;

5. To plan and coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs for the Chairperson and Board Members of SKM;

6. To coordinate programs, official visits, and courtesy calls involving the Chairperson and Board Members of SKM; and

7. To coordinate the use of the corporate seal, including for certificates of registration and amendments to cooperative by-laws.
