1. Complaints and Feedback Involving Cooperatives
Categories of Complaints:
Complaints received by the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission (SKM) can be classified into two (2) categories, namely:
- Complaints under the first category typically involve the following issues:
- Membership / Shares / Fees
- Dividend Payments
- Termination of Membership / Withdrawal of Shares
- Housing Projects (not completed according to schedule)
- Loan Disbursement
Submitting Complaints Related to Cooperatives:
Complaints submitted to the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission must adhere to the following guidelines:
i. Complaints must be made using the official complaint form.
ii. When submitting a complaint, the complainant must first identify the category of the complaint, whether under the first or second category.
iii. For complaints under the first category, it is advisable for the complainant to first submit the complaint to the cooperative and copy the complaint to the respective SKM State/Regional Office, and to the SKM Headquarters if necessary.
iv. For complaints under the second category, the complainant must submit the complaint to the Registrar of Cooperatives of the relevant State/Region and send a copy to the concerned cooperative.
v. However, SKM strongly encourages that for all complaints (whether under the first or second category), the complainant should initially submit the complaint to the cooperative for resolution. Only if no response is received from the cooperative should the complaint be forwarded to the SKM State/Regional Office, with a copy to the SKM Headquarters.

2. Complaints and Feedback Involving General Inquiries / Other Issues
Any general inquiries or other complaints received by SKM will be responded to within three (3) working days from the date of receipt.
